=============
Jeff Brown requested that Steven Lee be added to the `pooma-admin'
list. That has been done.
In future, we need to make sure that John Hall and Jean Marshall are
aware of the telecons. Mark Mitchell will take care of that.
Jeff Brown is working on security clearances. There is some
information that LANL will require about CodeSourcery. Jeff will
figure out what information is needed, and contact Mark.
Scott Haney reported that no externally visible progress has made with
respect to getting LANL accounts for Proximation people. Jeff
requested the names of the people who need email accounts at the lab.
They are:
Jim Crotinger
Mike de Long
Scott Haney
Steven Smith
Mark mentioned that he is planning on visiting LANL in early June.
Rod Oldehoeft is in the process of setting up meetings to discuss the
various projects on which CodeSourcery is working with LANL. Jeffrey
Oldham will accompany Mark on this trip, in order to discuss technical
issues with the Proximation folks.
Last Month
==========
Scott summarized last month's progress:
- Everyone has gotten set up and is working productively.
- Scott, Jim, and Steve have thought a lot about the new
Field abstraction.
- Jeffrey has implemented the hydrodynamics kernel suggested
by Jean and Don.
- Jeffrey and Scott examined the ways in which this kernel
is similar to a computation described by Chevron. Jean
confirmed that these similarities occur in many fluid
calculations. Jeffrey and Scott are working on ways to
directly support these abstractions in POOMA.
- Several important bugs have been fixed at the request of
the Blanca team.
