GNU Toolchain for ColdFire Processors

CodeSourcery, in partnership with Freescale, provides releases of Sourcery G++ Lite Edition (CodeSourcery's version of the GNU Toolchain) for the ColdFire architecture. Sourcery G++ Lite Edition supports GNU/Linux (MMU), uClinux (no MMU), and ELF (bare metal) systems.

Current Release

The current release is the 2008q1 release.

New features in this release include:

• Multi-GOT and Huge-GOT support for uClinux and GNU/Linux.

• Optimizations for ColdFire v4.

• Components upgraded to GCC 4.2.3, Binutils 2.18.50, and GDB 6.7.50.

New releases of Sourcery G++ Lite are made semiannually.
