GNU Toolchain for ColdFire Processors
CodeSourcery, in partnership with Freescale, provides releases of
Sourcery G++ Lite Edition (CodeSourcery's version of the GNU Toolchain)
for the ColdFire architecture.
Sourcery G++ Lite Edition supports GNU/Linux (MMU), uClinux (no MMU), and
ELF (bare metal ) systems.

Current Release
The current release is the Fall 2009 release. New features include:

Core components updated. Sourcery G++ now uses GCC 4.4.1,
EGLIBC 2.10 (including support for the Native POSIX Threads Library),
and newer versions of other components.

Improved code generation.

Improved bare-metal support.
New releases of Sourcery G++ Lite are made semiannually.
