I want to compile (through cmake )an game api(allegro ) on the am3517

We don't provide a native compiler at this time. It's something we're
considering for future releases, now that much faster ARM hardware is
becoming available. But, in general, you are going to find that you can
compile things much faster on a host system than you can on the target.

Maybe you can try Angstrom. It has host gcc. I use it and cmake work find on
my omp3 board. Or you can try CodeSourcery Toolchain in scratchbox. That's
much faster.

task-native-sdk works well on Angstrom. I've done some amazing things with it on a Beagleboard. Mind you, it is *a lot* slower than cross and you may need to tweak some vm settings.
