gcc on ARM PB-ARM926EJ-S board

Greetings!

This is in continuation to my previous efforts:

I am now attempting to use a gcc compiler that can run
on the ARM PB-ARM926EJ-S board, wherein I can try
compiling SDL and ffmpeg directly on the board.

I did download codesourcery's 3.4.3 toolchain sources.
Is there any documentation as to how I can build a
native compiler on an x86 system that can run _and_
compile object code on ARM?

I'd appreciate any help in this regard.
